COPE Community Services

The mission of the COPE Community Services in Tucson AZ is to enhance the quality of life for all residents. The services provide education, health care, and other support services to promote healthy living, increase productivity and strengthen the community in Tucson. A Community Service Officer works with a team of trained professionals who are committed to providing quality services in and around the community. The team consists of licensed professionals including a social worker, a medical specialist, a behavioral specialist, a housing specialist and a teacher. They are dedicated to providing services that enhance the quality of life for people living in Tucson.

As part of the services provided, there are also family support services where family and friends can meet with a professional counselor and discuss the problems they have with one another. Counselors provide a variety of activities to keep the family and friends together. These activities can include games and activities such as potlucks, arts and crafts, cooking, games and more. They can also go shopping with each other. There are also parenting workshops, drug and alcohol counseling, and educational and recreational opportunities. The goal of the Community Services is to make sure that all residents in the community are able to live healthy and productive lives while meeting their family’s needs. The staff strives to provide quality services to all residents of the community. The services also strive to give children a positive and stable environment and to give them a sense of belonging within the community. When individuals are able to feel good about themselves and they feel good about being in a safe and nurturing community then they tend to live a more fulfilling and enjoyable lifestyle. The success of the program is dependent on how many individuals participate in the program. When families and people who have lived here for many years came together to share experiences, learn and grow together, then they will have a stronger and more stable community.
