Sober Living Homes, also known as sober living communities and sober living environments, are residential communities or facilities which provide structured and secure living conditions to people exiting rehab programs for substance abuse. SLHs usually serve as a transition between these programs and the outside world. They allow individuals to live as they are with limited supervision from staff.

One of the main functions of Sober Living Homes is to offer quality, permanent living arrangements for individuals with serious addictions who are on the path to recovery. This type of program offers structured activities and recreational activities that are structured and focused on the individual’s specific needs. Residents in Sober Living Homes are provided with individualized care and assistance to provide them with the ability to maintain their independence. Residential Care Centers provides services for persons recovering from addiction. They are designed to assist the individual in the process of becoming sober, by providing structured programs and services that can help in the recovery of the person. Services offered in the residential care centers include but are not limited to, medication-assisted treatment, detoxification, outpatient services and crisis stabilization. These services are tailored to meet the individual’s unique needs. In addition to these programs, many of the residential care centers offer day center, crisis stabilization and on-site nursing services.
