When I was growing up in Hawaii, my mother would constantly ask me questions about living in Mililani, Hawaii, that is where I grew up and still live to this day. She would ask me questions like, what do you do in the mornings? Do you get out of bed? The thing is, I did not have the best beginning or end of the day. I struggled through life learning the hard way about what it means to be an adult, what is good, bad, right and wrong, all while trying my hardest to remain positive. At times my mother would question whether or not I was even human, something that never bothered me. But now I am grateful beyond words to have found the strength and will power to be happy despite the hardships of life. That is why I decided to share with other parents like me about information about sobriety, transitional living, and the benefits of living in a Hawaii halfway house. In fact, if my mom was still alive, I know she would be very proud of me for sharing this information with her. There is no reason why you should have to go through life feeling as if there is no hope. Being healthy does not have to mean living in a tent in the middle of nowhere. A little education, a little guidance, and a lot of compassion can go a long way in changing the path you are on. I want to pass on this information to you.
