The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in South Carolina has put together a good program for substance abuse treatment in the state. With outpatient treatment, the individual is not staying in the facility but can go out and get the treatment that they need whenever it is needed. This type of program allows the person to go home to their families with the understanding that they will receive help whenever it is needed. Both options have their pros and cons. The combination of the two is a one of a kind option that combines all of the best parts of inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment into one convenient location. This option also gives the person an opportunity to go to school if they so choose to do so. The good thing about getting treatment at this facility is that there is a whole community of support around you that will help with any questions or concerns that you may have.
