More About Sober Living in Prescott Arizona

“Sober Living in Prescott Arizona” is an online article written by Lisa Dussell who works at the Alcohol and Drug Addiction Center in Prescott, Arizona. She lives in this area. Dussell was invited by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to write an article on the benefits of “sober living” as well as a review of local programs. She chose the drug rehabilitation center, because her son has an addiction to prescription medications and is currently receiving outpatient treatment there. Her main goal was to make a positive contribution to the community through her words.

“Paramount Addiction Services offers high-quality, affordable sober living near Prescott, AZ. With compassionate, personal service, affordable prices, and support groups for those in recovery, PRS is a leading outpatient treatment facility in Arizona.” Dussell’s main concern is that if you choose to live in a “suburban neighborhood” it will be difficult to find a rehab center that can help you. She does not believe that rural or urban communities are necessarily better, or worse, than other neighborhoods, but she did feel that the drug treatment center should be located somewhere out of the way. “Substance Abuse Treatment Programs is great for helping those with drug addictions get into recovery. I would rather have one that was closer to my home, so that I could go to it more often, and it would save me time going to AA meetings that are far away.”

“In addition, I am concerned that addicts and alcoholics in these treatment programs will find themselves getting help from different counselors or therapists, rather than getting help from the same therapist or counselor that works with alcoholics in their lives. This will help to ensure that the addict is not receiving one-sided therapy or treatment from someone who may not be equipped to handle their specific needs. “I don’t want to have to go from one drug rehabilitation center to another. I’d prefer to see my son receive treatment at a reputable substance abuse treatment center where he could receive treatment in a variety of settings that suit his needs.”
