More Information about Sober Living in Tulare California

In a state like California with its reputation of being liberal and accepting, one would think that information about sober living in Tulare would be easy to come by. That it should be, but sadly this is not the case. The only place I was able to find solid information on this subject was in a book written by a former addict who now works with other former addicts as an outreach coordinator for a drug treatment center. She shared some life changing insights into what it takes to stay clean and sober, and how the right programs can help you do it. Unfortunately one of the only places someone with an addiction can get good information on this subject is at the local prison facility near her house in Porterville. The very last she heard was that there was no program to help people leave the prison facility, and that they had only one infirm man living there who was having trouble staying on drugs. It turns out there is a great non-profit organization called Transitional Living Systems that has been helping folks just like you to find sober living programs all over the state of California. Because this program works directly with the corrections departments, they are able to get the best treatment possible for their residents. This program also tries to keep families together by providing counseling, especially to mothers who have a drug addiction. The program even has a helpline just for this purpose, although I was not able to get any good information on the phone. Unfortunately there seems to be no central source for information on transition living facilities. My best advice to you, if you are looking for information about living on your own, is to look online first, you will probably have better luck finding the information you need there. If you don’t know of anyone else who might have found a sober living program near you, start a chat with someone who uses transitional living programs and see if you can learn more about what they use and how they go about their transition living. Chances are you may find a few places in your area that use similar methods and you can learn from them.
