More Information about Sober Living in Chamblee Georgia
This is an article about information about sober living in Chamblee Georgia. If you are an addict or a person in recovery, this may be the perfect article for you. I grew up in North Carolina, in a family where there was an alcohol addict baby sitter and drug addict step parent. When my step mother would get drunk on set or would shoot up drugs with my father around, it was not uncommon for me to have to pick her up and drive her to a friend or family member’s house that would sober her up.
I am not a professional on matters of drug addiction or alcoholism but I do know a little about getting sober and being able to live in a sober environment. A friend of mine committed suicide in prison five years ago due to an addiction to drugs. She lived in a transitional housing, sober living – halfway house for most of her sentence. I asked her if she would recommend this type of environment for someone returning to school or for a young person who might be struggling with drugs or alcohol and need some counseling to get back on track.
She said she could never have imagined that using the name “transitional housing, sober living – halfway house” would lead to her untimely death, but that she truly believed it did. I think she would be very pleased with the medical staff and the quality of care that she received. She made a powerful point about why rehabilitation is so important, and the problems associated with some “in-patient” programs that do not provide treatment provided by qualified professionals.
