“New Dimensions In Recovery” is a new program for the treatment of drug and alcohol addictions in Arizona. It was developed by the Arizona Addiction and Alcoholism Association (AAOA) and is supported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program will target at-risk individuals who have a family history of alcoholism, mental disorders or bipolar disorders. These individuals are also often seen as the target groups of alcohol treatment centers and rehabilitation programs in the United States.
In Arizona, the program aims to provide comprehensive treatment with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy, individual and family counseling, and group meetings. The goal of all these strategies is to provide treatment for alcoholics, their family members and anyone who have a tendency to drink. It also aims to ensure that these individuals do not experience relapse and instead, go on living a more productive life.
“New Dimensions In Recovery” is currently available for a limited number of treatment programs throughout the United States and Europe. As it targets at-risk populations, it is not offered in every treatment center in Arizona. For more information regarding this treatment program, you can contact the Arizona Addiction and Alcoholism Association.
